Castello Banfi Wine Resort

In the heart of Tuscany, Castello Banfi Wine Resort is set on a vast domain composed one third by the vineyard, another third by olive groves, fruit orchards and grain fields and the rest is woodland. The hotel Il Borgo’s luxury rooms and suites are nestled in the houses that were built alongside the medieval fortress, historically known as Poggio alle Mura, in the 18th century when it became safe to live outside of the thick walls and locked gates but close enough for protection. The owners, the Mariani Family, commissioned the architect and interior designer to preserve the historical character of the Borgo buildings and create elegant and comfortable interiors with carefully selected furnishings and fabrics. The beautiful Pergola garden provides a tranquil outdoor space and the heated swimming pool behind the castle’s western wall overlooks the lush vineyards. Savor traditional dishes of Montalcino and Tuscany enhanced by the freshness and authenticity from local ingredients. Dine at the elegant and refined La Sala dei Grappoli serving Italian and Mediterranean dishes with a modern touch.
