Lapa Palace was fully restored over the years by artists who worked carefully to keep the original design of the 19th century Palace. The beautiful stained glass windows in the Columbano and Eça de Queiroz rooms are still the original ones from the time of the Count of Valenças. The classic, beautiful furniture and the carpets date back 170 years. The hotel is divided into three different sections: Palace wing, Garden wing and Villa Lapa. Every room has a different style from Art deco, colonial, Algarvian to Neo Classic styles. The Palace is situated in the heart of Lisbon in the traditional Lapa Quarter on one Lisbon’s seven hills. Just next to the hotel is the number 28 tram stop which takes you to the centre of Lisbon.
