Colca Lodge Spa & Hot Springs

Colca Lodge is set in Colca Valley, a region among the mountains of the Western Andes in southern Peru. It is the perfect place to discover the Colca Canyon, the world’s deepest canyon and home to the one of the world’s largest flying birds – the condor. The lodge is set beside the Colca River in a very special environment with three thermal pools fed from natural springs whose water emerges at temperatures up to 80° Celsius. Accommodation is spread over 45 rooms all with simple decoration, thatched roofs and some walls built of adobe. Most have a creative heating system employing heat-radiating stone slabs warmed by the hotel’s own geothermal energy sources with a minimum environmental impact. Colca Lodge has also set up an Alpaca ranch and guests can embark on a genuine discovery of the animals and the history of alpaca fiber. Best Spa: the Colca Lodge hot springs eco spa begins treatments in its own pool fed by water from the hot springs, followed by massages, body wraps or facials by staff dedicated to the well-being, comfort and relaxation of guests in beautiful landscapes on the banks of the River Colca.
