Matahari Beach Resort & Spa is located in the unspoiled landscapes of the northwestern coast of Bali. The 32 rooms in 16 traditional Balinese bungalows are set in the beautiful tropical garden and offer a perfect combination of all modern comforts and traditional Balinese style. The resort was built using only local materials by craftsmen from the region some of them using ancient techniques. Nearly no construction machines were used and no single palm tree had to be felled. The resort has been awarded several special prizes based on the hotel’s harmony with nature, culture and the religion of the Balinese people. The heavenly Parwathi Spa with its holistic philosophy and its architecture inspired by the royal water palace Tirta Gangga offers an introduction to traditional Balinese techniques and Indian spirituality. The resort has a whole range of activities including tennis, badminton and biking. The onsite 5* Bali Diving academy offers experiences. Nine different dive sites are all in a 5 to 10 minutes boat ride from shore and most are suitable for all levels. Only a 40 minutes boat trip away, the Menjangan Island or “Deer Island” is part of Bali Barat National Park offering steep wall sites with spectacular coral and big variety of fishes. Best Celebrations: Bali Hindu New Year 2020 will fall on 25th March 2020. This is one of the Balinese most unique celebrations also known as Hari Raya Nyepi. Nyepi is a day of silence and self-reflection and anything that might disturb this is not allowed.
