The Hotel Ha(a)ïtza, the rock in Basque, has been one of the legendary addresses of the Silver Coast since 1930. Sophie and William Téchouyeres, the new owners, with the help of the designer Philippe Starck, wanted to revive this place while retaining the charm of yesteryear combined with contemporary design. Behind its gorgeous neo-Basque façade, thirty-nine rooms decorated with light wood, shades of white with polished stainless steel, it reflects the simple and refined spirit of the Bassin d’Arcachon. The hotel’s reception unfolds over a vast and structured space, the anachronistic embodiment of a modern New York art gallery on the Dune du Pyla. Under the direction of Michelin-starred chef Stéphane Carrade, the new restaurant with an elegant and family-friendly atmosphere is installed in an impressive veranda.
