Once an 18th century Provençal Manor House, this iconic establishment was transformed in 1924 to become the Hotel Le Pigonnet which perpetuates the tradition of simplicity and authenticity. This haven of peace in the heart of Aix-en-Provence has 45 spacious, minimalist, pleasant rooms. They open onto the most beautiful gardens in the town, bordered by centenary chestnut trees and full of flowers. Away from the bustle of the city, Cézanne loved to wander around the grounds with his easel. Nowadays guests are tempted to take a siesta by the pool, read a book or just contemplate the Sainte Victoire Mountain on the horizon. For lunch in the sun on the terrace or dinner in the dining room opening out onto the garden, Le Pigonnet proposes a creative and generous Provençal cuisine by Chef Thierry Balligand who highlights regional products.
