Coralina Island

Coralina Island Hotel Islas de Rosario is set in the heart of the Natural Park of the archipelago of the Rosario islands created to protect the coral reefs in the Colombian Caribbean Coast. Its coral reefs host a great variety of sea fauna and flora with abundance of colorful fish, corals and plants. Rooms are made of the local fiber named matamba, wood and coral rocks. The extraordinary bungalows with sea view are huts right over the water with an amazing ocean view all round. The superior double with sea view faces the ocean with a high thatched roof and an independent deck over the water. Paddle around the island in one of the “Old Town” canoes which holds up to two passengers or swim on a dark night among the luminescent plankton. There is no swimming pool but small ladders go right down into the crystal clear waters and there is a small, private beach with its deck and bar. Best Gastronomy: Dine at the restaurant where the chef mixes the Caribbean flavors with exquisite French twists in dishes like fish en papillote with white wine, ceviche and traditional fish with coconut rice. All the dishes are prepared with fresh seasonal fish from local and traditional fishermen. The restaurant by the sea under the mangroves is open to the cooling breeze.
