Quinta da Casa Branca, is a boutique hotel set in the heart of a beautiful botanical garden near the centre of Funchal among the lush gardens of an old garden estate. The vast grounds have three main areas: the arboretum with a collection of tropical and subtropical trees; the agricultural area with a banana plantation interspersed with avocado, mango trees and passion fruit vines and the garden which slopes south of the main hotel and eventually surrounds the old Manor House, with its five luxury suites. Close by and next to the swimming pool lies a Villa dating from the early 19^th century. This part of the estate was formerly the private residence of the Leacock family who own the hotel, former Madeira wine merchants.  A Health Club and Spa area offers facilities for the well-being of guests with several beauty cares and Phytocéane spa packages available. Best Gastronomy: The distinctive “The Dining Room” restaurant in the elegant and luxurious Manor House serves contemporary gourmet dishes in a traditional atmosphere with an al fresco terrace. The “Garden Pavilion” Restaurant is set in a new modern building made exclusively using glass, wood and green marble. Buffet breakfast, light lunches and traditional afternoon tea are served daily.
