Emirates flies high, in high, in Spa altitudes

Relax, treat oneself with a moment of relaxation before or after a journey is just normal. But being able to take an in-flight shower in a proper spa room at 10 000 meters, is just exceptional ! An exclusive service now available on Emirates to all their First Class passengers flying the Airbus A380s from Paris. We have met with Emirates’ French General Manager, M. Thierry de Bailleul. BH: Excellency seems to be the key-word in your company… Thierry de Bailleul: Indeed, our focus is to offerthe best possible travel experience, from the passenger’s home to the arrival at destination. Thanks to our quality of service, we were awarded in 2013 for the Best Airline in the world by Skytrax. Our passengers are being offered a wide variety of services: a driver, exclusive private lounges, bar and lounge areas onboard in First and Business classes… BH: There is even an in-flight spa-shower on board the Airbus A380? Thierry de Bailleul: Two showers to be exact. They are located on the upper deck’s front, an area entirely dedicated to First and Business Class. A flight attendant is assigned to servicing what is a real bathroom, whose dimensions exceed some bathrooms in Parisian flats! During this 30 minute in-flight “spa relaxation experience”, passengers will enjoy optimal comfort with upscale beauty products (Bulgari perfumes, Timeless Spa treatments etc…) available. Everything has been taken care of: large-sized mirrors, leather seats, LCD TV and even a floor heating device. It’s actually the first in-flight spa in the world! BH: You were talking about “experience” throughout the journey? Thierry de Bailleul: We have 20 weekly scheduled flights from Paris, along with our flights from Lyon and Nice. Soon, a third daily A380 will be operating in Paris. From our hub in Dubai, we already fly to Asia, the Pacific, the Indian Ocean… We are equally well positioned on East Africa. When you see that some passengers travelling through Dubai when they have direct flights to destination proves that quality of service makes the difference. Not to mention our 1000 sqm lounge area in Roissy-CDG and the dedicated high-yield passenger terminal in Dubai. Pre-and post-flight experience contribute to the success of the travel experience. Emirates flies to 129 destinations in 72 countries, from its hub in Dubai.  www.emirates.com
