Best fragrances: For the discerning eccentrics of today

Barber William Penhaligon opened his first boutique in London, in 1870. In 1902, Winston Churchill chooses Blenheim Bouquet, a woody, discreet and masculine fragrance, originally created for the Duke of Marlborough, one of his ancestors. After this, William Henry Penhaligon is appointed Barber and Perfumer to the Royal Court by Queen Victoria, and his title is renewed by the next ruling monarchs. In the 1970’s, business is booming and new boutiques open throughout England, in the United States and in Paris.
