The story of Fontanelle Estate began in 1999, when Giuseppina Bolfo fell under the spell of an old farmhouse in the hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Tuscany. It took no less than 7 years to build the 5-star Hotel Le Fontanelle. The renovations were carried out with care, preserving the energy of its massive stones, integrating local wood and refined terracotta bricks, in the respect and style of the Chianti region.

Nicola, Giuseppina Bolfo’s nephew, with creativity and vitality, accompanied by his wife Phoebe, is the latest generation to perpetuate this noble heritage of passion for this land, this culture and the art of entertaining. In 2022, the second 5-star hotel, The Club House, was inaugurated. Clients are welcomed with passion, right down to the dishes that are served in the estate’s three restaurants. Imagination and creativity are the adjectives used to define the cuisine of the restaurants, a culinary epicenter for every palate and every occasion.
