Ryder Cup stars descend on HNA Open de France

Seven of Europe’s 2016 Ryder Cup stars have confirmed their participation in next week’s HNA Open de France, the European Tour’s second Rolex Series event on the Race to Dubai, at Le Golf National : Lee Westwood, Thomas Pieters, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Danny Willett, Chris Wood , Andy Sullivan, Jon Rahm at the host venue of The 2018 Ryder Cup, adding to the world-class field assembling for the 101st edition of continental Europe’s oldest national Open. Golf fans can see these Ryder Cup stars in action at the HNA Open de France, along with World Number Eight Alex Noren, as well as Major Champions Graeme McDowell and Martin Kaymer.Westwood, a ten-time Ryder Cup player, has a strong record in France having finished runner-up in 2009 after being beaten in a play-off by Kaymer – as well as a further three top ten finishes - and is set to make his 13th appearance at the prestigious tournament.“I’ve always enjoyed coming to France and playing in front of the fans over here,” said the 23-time European Tour winner. “The HNA Open de France is a fantastic week on the European Tour schedule, it’s a great golf course and it also happens to be the home of the next Ryder Cup which is an added bonus, so I’m looking forward to returning next week.”
